M.L.ROSE'S STORY
In 2008, Nashville’s Melrose neighborhood was on the edge of a comeback, but it didn’t have a true neighborhood pub. So we opened one. Driven by the love of great food, great bars, and creating a place for community, the first M.L.Rose quickly became the kind of place where studio musicians, restaurant workers, celebrities, and neighbors all felt at home—a laid-back spot to connect with the people you know and love.
As Nashville has grown, so has M.L.Rose. Today, we’re proud to be part of eight unique communities across greater Nashville, all built around the same idea: good pubs make good neighbors. Each location reflects its own neighborhood’s personality, with welcoming spaces, kind and genuine service, and a sense of community that goes beyond the walls of the pub.
We’re committed to giving back to the places that support us – through partnerships with local schools and organizations and by creating opportunities for our team to grow.

Meet your neighbor, Austin!
Born and raised in Nashville, Austin opened the first M.L.Rose (then known as Melrose Neighborhood Pub) on December 9, 2008, after decorating the place with his neighbors and some cold beer. He wanted to create a true “third place”—a comfortable spot to unwind, connect, and be part of something local. Each M.L.Rose since has carried that same spirit, balancing quality pub food, seasonal beer and cocktails, and colorful character that makes every neighborhood feel like home.

A.RAY FAMILY NIGHTS
M.L.Rose is part of the A.Ray family of restaurants, including Von Elrod’s Beer Hall & Kitchen & Melrose Billiard Parlor. While each restaurant has a distinct personality, we’re one big family that works hard and celebrates our wins. We participate in annual team building retreats and parties for the entire A.Ray staff with free food, drinks, music and prizes.
