Where to Watch the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Nashville

Lest you think Nashville is just a hockey town because of our rabid fandom of our beloved Predators, Music City is a pretty strong soccer town, too! (Soccer? That’s the one that’s like hockey on grass, right?) Seriously, Nashville has hosted some huge crowds for international football matches and World Cup qualifiers in the past, and… Continue reading Where to Watch the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Nashville

First Look: M.L.Rose Opens Saturday Near the Gulch

It’s been a busy summer and fall for Austin Ray. Barely two months ago, the Nashville restaurateur opened Von Elrod’s Beer Garden & Sausage House across from First Tennessee Park near Germantown. On Saturday, he’s set to open his newest M.L. Rose Craft Beer & Burgers at hospital chain HCA’s new 1100 Charlotte at Capitol View building in the North Gulch.

Cheating on your diet?

All that paleo dining got you feeling like clubbing somebody? Can’t quite reach the perfect state of ketogenesis without punching a wall? Or are you just coming off a three-day juice cleanse and therefore desperate for something to sink your teeth into?

On a hot summer afternoon in the back beer garden of the original M.L. Rose, decision makers from both the Eighth Avenue and Charlotte locations are drinking a lot of beers, an ounce or so at a time.

The 14 Best Burgers in Nashville Right Now

There’s no question that Nashville’s burger game is strong. Heck, even Thrillist’s National Burger Critic Kevin Alexander came through town on a greasy tour of some of our best patties and did a pretty darned good job at identifying some of the top spots (for a carpetbagger).

Well-known Nashville restaurateur readies his 1st food truck

Ray, whose A. Ray Hospitality portfolio also includes The Sutler Saloon, Melrose Billiard Parlor and the soon-to-open Von Elrod’s Beer Garden & Sausage House, has purchased an M.L.Rose food truck, which he hopes to roll out before the neighborhood bar’s third location opens in the Capitol View development later this year.

Nashville Brunch Beverage Finder

I have a friend who doesn’t like brunch. Naturally, we mock him and shun him on weekends, but I get it — he’s a boy, and before the #BrosWhoBrunch came to town with their flat-billed caps and BNA tank tops, brunch was a pretty girly ordeal. But in today’s Nashville, brunch knows no gender, so… Continue reading Nashville Brunch Beverage Finder

M.L. Rose has two locations — one in West Nashville (pictures on the left) and one in the Melrose neighborhood (pictured on the right). Both locations have large patios with giant Jenga for entertainment and fire pits for ambience and warmth. The Melrose location is mostly covered, while the West location is mostly uncovered.\r\n

11 Nashville Restaurants & Bars with Outdoor Games

Both the Charlotte Avenue and Melrose locations offer giant Jenga, but the West Nashville spot gets the nod with its large front yard space and outdoor dart boards, making it an ideal spot to grab a beer, a burger and a good hang.

M.L.Rose & Jackalope Team Up for a Collaboration Brew

M.L.Rose Craft Beer and Burgers is well-known for, well … craft beer and burgers. So when it came time to come up with their May Burger of the Month, it figures that owner Austin Ray would reach out to his friends at Jackalope to actually create a special beer for both locations of the restaurant… Continue reading M.L.Rose & Jackalope Team Up for a Collaboration Brew

5 to Try: Late Night Bites

There are morning people, and then there are night people. Both of them are good. Only one cure: a burger after midnight the size of a baby’s head, smothered… Continue reading 5 to Try: Late Night Bites
